The Vorholt Lab - Microbial Biochemistry
Our laboratory focuses on the understanding and engineering of microbiomes, one-carbon metabolism and endosymbioses. We perform functional analyses at different scales, from molecules to proteins to cells to microbiomes and host-microbe interactions. Our research involves a range of complementary disciplines and approaches, including metabolomics, proteomics, transcriptomics, microscopy, metabolic engineering, modelling and novel nanotechnology tools for single cell analysis.
